Baby Has Two Mommies. :)

I haven't written a blog post for a very long time but I just got home from the weekly Leech Lake transport and wanted to share a little story with you.

We had a bunch of cats on this transport including a momma with a three-week-old kitten.  I was in the van loading up the dogs and cats, and the crate was handed to me which contained the momma and kitten.  I set the crate up at eye level and tried to peek in to see the baby.  Imagine my surprise when I saw two adult cats and no baby.  I was harassing Tom (the guy who had transported the animals to me) about there not being a kitten in the crate.  He kept telling me that the kitten was in there - I just needed to be patient.

The two female cats were smushed up next to each other and all of a sudden I could see movement between them.  Slowly but surely, a little paw showed up and then another paw and all of a sudden a little orange head popped out between the two mommies.

The kitty sqqqqqqquuuuuiiiiissssshhhheeeeddd herself out from between them and somersaulted to the front of the crate where she sat and stared at me for a minute, probably trying to figure out what the heck I was.  She then turned around and burrowed herself in between her two mommies and I heard her latch on and start eating.  It was completely adorable.

I did have time to get a picture. :)

Have a great day.

Jenny
